For the German Government’s Digital Hub Initiative, RCKT fosters networking and cooperation between established businesses and startups, both in Germany and worldwide. The Digital Hub Initiative promotes Germany as one of the leading players on the global digital scene.
As the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy’s principal scheme for digitalization, the Digital Hub Initiative focuses on problem-solving approaches to issues surrounding the development of Germany as a center for digital innovation:
What kind of expertise and innovations need to be brought together to establish the German economy as a successful digital ecosystem?
How can topic-driven digital hubs be established across Germany?
What role do founders and the economy play in this process, and how can small to medium-sized businesses benefit from digitization?
Within the scope of the initiative, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has established twelve regional Digital Hubs. The Digital Hubs are home to innovative collaboration between the economy, startups, and the world of science, in Germany and worldwide. Until 2019, industry-relevant programmes with clear core focuses revolving around product innovation and digital culture will be developed here.
We at RCKT act as the main operators of the de:hub Initiative.
“RCKT represents the digital awakening in Germany.” Matthias Machnig, State Secretary at the BMWi.
